Veterans Village – Philadelphia
Bernard Spain Campus
Project Successfully Finished – Check out our press section for more information
In Philadelphia, we see firsthand that affordable housing is scarce.

Units available to Veterans with vouchers and subsidies are often in grave disrepair, may not even include kitchen appliances, and often have unsafe or unhealthy living conditions. This is unacceptable and it needs to end now.
Veterans Village is a 47-unit new construction, permanent housing community for Veterans. The Bernard Spain Campus, opened in May 2023, is the first project developed by Veterans Villages, a registered 501c3 organization, dedicated to addressing the need for Affordable Housing.
The Joan & Bernard Spain Family Foundation donated the seed equity necessary to bring this project to fruition. Veterans Villages partners with vendors, suppliers, and individuals to defray the costs of construction, while keeping our fixtures, finishes and appliances high quality.
The Village is a replicable open-source template available to any like-minded organization or individual. We have a proven, time-efficient and environmentally sound method to deploy multi-family projects to all sectors in need, and to any community across the nation, but we alone cannot possibly build the number of units needed. VV helps others build much-needed housing by assisting with development, financial modeling, design, and just about every step of the process.

How do we address this issue? Sustainable, safe, respectful, quality, Affordable Housing.
You Can Change the Life of a Veteran
The resources available to our nation’s Veterans after serving our country are paltry at best. Many Veterans are left behind and struggle to find employment, mental and physical health resources, and housing. These struggles have led to a large vulnerable population of our national heroes.
We need YOU to help us build safe and resilient Affordable Housing NOW! Let’s give our Veterans the respect and dignity they have earned.
